Bleagh. We are both still sick. Indeed, both of us appear to have had relapses. Very odd.
Elsewhere various people returning home from WFC are reporting being diagnosed with H1N1 (or hamthrax if you prefer). I suppose we could have it too. Certainly we are going to avoid BASFA tonight just in case. But it isn’t at all serious, just annoying.
I do hope it clears up by next weekend. In the meantime it would be good to have my head de-fugged enough to be able to do some serious work.
We will miss you at BASFA. Get better soon.
And “relapses” are common with H1N1. Some times it is hard to clear the virus out of the system.

From what I hear, the flu part isn’t that bad, but you have to take care of yourself because you can get bronchitis or pneumonia very easily once you have H1N1. Take care!
I had the seasonal vaccine a week before WFC. What I’ve been down with is definitely a flu. Haven’t been tested for H1N1, but as long as you understand you’re supposed to *stay home and take care of it until you’re well* it’s really just the flu.
(We’ve also been watching for any of the danger signs that would mandate running off to the doctor, but there haven’t been any such complications)
So I’ve been housebound since last Wednesday. And probably will be through this Wednesday. I’ve been making good use of my WFC goodie bag. Today’s menu: Escapement.
Well, that certainly puts the con-based norovirus outbreaks last year in perspective. It really is time to start adding “And always wash your hands” whenever we give the basic rules for convention health.
