I’m back in a cold and soggy Bay Area. Apologies to BASFA folks for not making the meeting tonight, but I’m very tired and want to try to stay on Austin time, or move even further east, as I have to fly to London on Wednesday.
Sleep now.

iirc, Austin is Central time, so it’s six hours away from Greenwich, rather than California’s 8. You suggest that makes a significant difference to you. I’m surprised.
Well to some extent every little helps, but look at it like this. My flight leaves CA at 7:00pm (CA time) and arrives in London around 11 hours later, so 6:00am. Allowing two hours at each end for meal service and take-off/landing that means sleep from 9:00pm to 4:00am. On the other hand, if I am on Central time, the sleep is 11:00pm to 6:00am, which is much more civilized.
