Book Review – Carter & Lovecraft

Carter and LovecraftI’m not managing to review all that many of the books I read these days, but I did want to do one for Carter & Lovecraft because I think my friend Jonathan has done something exceedingly fun with it.

I am eagerly awaiting the television series, though if the hero is not played by someone who at least looks like the All Blacks fly half I shall be very disappointed. I know who I want to play Emily too, but that would be a spoiler.

Anyway, the review is done, and you can read it here. Enjoy. And good luck with the sanity rolls.

It’s no surprise that Dan Carter has been an underwear model for more than ten years.

  2. I’m intrigued!

FYI although the review says “To hear Jonathan read from Carter & Lovecraft at BristolCon Fringe, and answer various questions about it, go here,” I don’t see an audio widget on the Oct. 20th page. (I checked the page source and didn’t see it, so I don’t believe my browser’s at fault.) Is the audio no longer available?

I found the audiobook excerpt here, plus a regular sample on Macmillan’s site, so it’s not a big deal! I just wanted to hear the author’s reading + Q&A, if available. 🙂

    1. So I looked at this and thought, “that’s odd, I’m sure I linked to it.” So I went and checked, and discovered that I had only linked to a report of the event. Then I remembered that I hadn’t edited to audio from October yet. In fact I haven’t even edited the September Fringe event, and the November one is tonight. And that’s a good measure of exactly how overworked and tired I am right now.

      Very sorry.
