Neil & Amanda: With Added Artwork

Thanks to the generosity of Neil and Amanda, and the help of Amanda’s colleague, Beth, I have been able to add some artwork to my video diary of the Dublin reading. Now you can not only listen to Neil reading, and Amanda singing, but also view a variety of Amanda corpses. There is some very fine photography in the Who Killed Amanda Palmer book – much of it by Kyle Cassidy, who it turns out has a more direct connection to the SF community as his last LJ post saw him enthusing over getting to meet the likes of Ellen Datlow, Michael Swanwick and Greg Frost.

Anyway, the whole diary, now complete with dead Amandas, can be viewed here.

Neil & Amanda: The Photos

And from a party about Irish cheese to an event in Ireland. Here are a few photos that I took during the signing at Chapters. There are no photos of the actual readings, because I was busy holding the video camera at the time. That’s still waiting to be edited.

(And annoyingly the photos are not displaying in the correct sequence. Sigh.)

Cardiff Photos

OK, the Cardiff photos are now online. Having never watched Torchwood, I have no idea what’s recognizable and what isn’t, but I do know a rugby stadium when I see one. And I do have the promised TAFF photo.

N’awlins Memories

While the 49ers have been getting pulverized in Superdome, I have been cheering myself up by finally getting around to processing the photos from the trip that Kevin and I took to New Orleans last month. They are now uploaded to Picasa.

At the Seaside

It has been a rather nice few days here in England, and on Saturday I got to go to the seaside. On the north coast of Devon, the rivers Taw and Torridge flow together to form an estuary (see Google Maps) that forms a natural haven for shipping (albeit one with some very dangerous tides). Nestled hear the mouth of the estuary is the small town of Appledore, one of the few places in the UK where shipbuilding is still practiced, and the birthplace of some fabulous replica ships (you may have seen this one). I didn’t have a lot of time to go around taking photos, but what I have got are in my Picasa site and are linked to below.

ICFA Photos

I have been looking at photo-handling plugins for WordPress and I have finally settled on Shashin, partly because it works with Picasa, my preferred photo hosting site, but mainly because it works. So, now it is installed, and here are some photos from ICFA.
