Peggy at Biology in Science Fiction has found another wonderful web site. Genochoice.com claims to be able to scan your DNA over the Internet (you put your thumb on the screen to perform the analysis) and tell you what genetic deformities you have. “Novelty-seeking behavior” seems to crop up a lot. I wonder how many people think this is real?

My mom emailed me to ask me if it was real, and I’m not sure if she was kidding or not.
Well there are plenty of real genetic screening companies around, and California’s clampdown has put them in the news recently. I’m pretty sure that a lot of people won’t be able to tell the difference between a real one and a fake.
