I did managed to get the Awards podcast recorded and edited over the weekend, but once again Libsyn is having technical difficulties and I can’t get the show posted. This does not make me at all happy. I do have a lead on a possible alternative hosting provider, but once again I would be very grateful for suggestions.

I use Feedburner and haven’t had a problem once I sorted out the first podcast.
Feedburner does podcast hosting?
Our podcast is hosted here https://posterous.com/
I then used Feedburner to set up the RSS Feed so it could be automatically uploaded to iTunes. (Obviously I had to go through the iTunes process of getting the podcast ticked off, but you would have done that bit already).
Posterous does link with iTunes directly, but I haven’t been able to figure it out. However, as a place to host the podcast it’s good and it’s free.
Feedburner is really easy to use and takes only moments to set up the RSS feed.
Not sure if this helps at all, but it’s how I do it.
Ah, that makes a lot more sense.
Yes, Posterous will let you host podcasts, and I knew it provided iTunes integration which is one reason why your comment confused me. The trouble with Posterous is that I can’t see any way to embed the poscast elsewhere, so I’d have to build the whole of Salon Futura in Posterous, which I don’t want to do.
On the other hand, if Feedburner can make an iTunes-compatible feed, then it would be much easier to use Box.Net, which looks like a very good hosting solution but doesn’t provide iTunes integration. Except that their player is Flash-only…
