Sam Back on the Hugo Trail

Sam Jordison’s journey through the back history of the Hugo Awards continues in The Guardian today with Roger Zelazny’s The Immortal (aka Call Me Conrad). Sam is unimpressed, and indeed it is hard to see how a novel in which the aliens are called Vegans can stand the test of time.

  1. There’s irony for you. I recently re-read “…And Call Me Conrad” and enjoyed it immensely. I can’t see any validity in Jordison’s criticisms. I guess it just must be me.
