Awesome, isn’t it.
It also says to me that this is a Worldcon bid with a bit of ambition. I like that. More information here.

Wow! Now *there’s* an opening argument :>
Cool video! I had never realized how many times the tower of Big Ben has been hit, damaged, and blown up in science fiction movies. I find it a good sign that the bid logo uses the rocket with the Gherkin rather than the more traditional London skyline buildings, e.g., St. Paul’s. It’s appropriately futuristic!
That is a cool video. It almost makes me want to pre-support London and soon Even though it is over a $1,000 RT from DC to LOndon right now.
“Even though it is over a $1,000 RT from DC to LOndon right now.”
Plenty of time to start saving!
I forget sometimes this bid is four years plus away. That is plenty of time.
Brilliant video. Thank you for posting.
Personally, I think it needed a giant kitten, but maybe that’s just me.
Genius. Bear with me a while.
Nope.
I mean, it’s not just you – that was also my first thought, or possibly the second one after ‘Wow!’.
Much as I love the song, I’m not sure “You know what they said? Well some of it was true!” is the most reassuring lyric for a bid theme…
Yes, I too had that thought .. thanks for taking the blame for expressing it. Perhaps it was a bit too Punkish?
Setting to one side various Classical Musical pieces, and giving thought to, say, a Literary/Book-Cover Visual Compilation ? .. Then, what would be a better Sound Track?
I suggest a competition .. a Sponsored Competition – ask ‘ Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson ‘

to contribute support? for you/they sorely need the Money …
For a Presentation Piece.
Media Students in London Based University based Degree Courses and London based Schools with some sort of mid -point ?
Just a passing Thought.
“Perhaps it was a bit too Punkish?”
Only if it were the Sex Pistols doing “God Save the Queen”.
Yes, and of course the next line would be:
“In a Fannish Regime” …..
